All religions are true! Is it so ?

The learned Hindus often quote statements from Scriptures to control their fanatical fraternity. A statement from RigVeda "Ekam Sat Vipraha Bahuda Vadanti"(the truth is one,the learned call it by different names) , and other statements like "Vasudaiva Kutumbhakam". The other religions too have such concepts and are provided by their respective liberal brothers to the conservative fraternity. In Hinduism the liberal view dominates while in semitic
faiths(Judaism,Christianity,Islam) the conservative view dominates.

Truth or the Ultimate truth as specified by Vedanta or other philosophical systems can never be known. At the best a person can have is an opinion on this truth. Jesus had it ,so did Mohammad or Moses. They directly gave a system which should explain everything on this earth. The system they gave has great contradictions for a thinking man and is duly rejected. The single point that all of them held earth is flat suggests it can't be the truth about the reality. Whether they said it or their followers twisted their teachings and wrote it is quite a different issue. All we can know about them is through these books and through these books alone they have to be judged whether they are fictional or real. Hinduism has its traditions of Vaishnavism ,Shaivism and various schools of philosophy to explain the truth, but every philosophical thought has been fractured with the arguments from the other schools. The Bakti tradition though very different from Christian faith or Muslim faith has many problems in too. The puranas(Bhagavatam,Shiva Purana..) filled up with so many fictional and imaginary accounts can never be deciphered to provide what ultimate reality they suggest. So where does all this uncertainty leave us?

All the actions of reading past scriptures , understanding them analyzing them(be it vedas, bible ,quran, zend avesta) is based on one single hope that the past knew the truth. NO, it was never known to them.

Accepting that all paths lead to the same ultimate reality ,whatever the political compulsions be in such statements, we are killing the natural free inquiring spirit in us. Going by the mis guided notion that their was a past Golden age be it Satya Yuga or Garden of Eden man searches in the past for the ultimate reality. One truth which explains everything else. Religions in the popular sense are taken as the providers of truth. Religions don't provide truth , they attempt to provide it and it needs the help of human intellect and reason to guide towards it. Any Religion that proclaims that it has reached the end of the search and can provide the reason for everything should be infallible if not it is still in the process. . All our religions are incomplete. A better statement could be , All religions are runners in an open race and anybody can join it at any time and all of them aim for the trophy , the ultimate truth. All paths have the same goal but that doesn't necessarily mean that all of them are equal. They are equal only in the sense of their participation but no that all of them will finally win.

There is another danger with such humanitarian beliefs. They give rise to fanaticism. Since it is a settled matter that all religions are true there is nothing to be discussed. A modern Hindu faces this problem. He can never criticize other religions even when they appear to his reason as dangerous or wrong. An example, every point raised by an Hindu against Christian ism is turned down as that person either lacks the complete grasp on Christianity or else he would n't have any problem in seeing the similarity between Hinduism and Christianity. The case with Hindu against Hinduism , he doesn't like some parts in the religion. He is free to question the philosophical aspects but not the social aspects..This will only increase his frustration of not being to grasp such simple truth .He either believes blindly that he is wrong or becomes more fanatical in his approach. Both of these thoughts are not good for mankind. Christians or other monotheistic faiths don't have such problems because they don't recognize other religions anyway and what they provide is complete truth which in many situations don't stand the test of reason. The knowledge of the past never gets evolved because of such dangerous beliefs . Semitic faiths stagnate knowledge by stopping the inquisitive mind with their version of truth and the truly democratic faith like Hinduism is hampered by such stupid humanitarian beliefs.

Since religions don't provide the required truth should we reject it them? NO. Instead one has to become more religious then ever but faith should not be on past traditions and past thoughts but faith should lie on human intellect and reason and with that should explore everything to reach towards the truth. One should becoming uncompromising and the reverence one gives to their scriptures should be put on our reason and intuition.
A Hindu when he starts reading Vedas ,there is only disappointment that comes through. The Rig Veda extensively describes some yagas, some wars and gods. Some other vedas describe marriages, music. This suggests Vedas don't just speak about some abstract notion of truth by which if on starts reading from the beginning to the end and even memorize them he will know about the truth. He ultimately has to use his discriminatory intelligence .Using this intelligence he becomes sharp and with that he by his own efforts will understand the real essence of his existence. Vedas where the starting point and not the ending point of one's journey. Traditions have to be continued but not because they are great ,but they are the frame work to reach the truth. Vedas, Upanishads are the questions and we have to find the answers. Upanishads where not pre-Vedic but started some point of time after Vedas but how did they suddenly stop after that. Does that mean Upanishads have reached the goal. NO. It is we who have stopped that process. We stopped questioning and started accepting. We compromised on whether we should live comfortably with our family or should we explore the truth alone. We elaborated extensive rules to run this society but who runs us ? This question has now become a theoretical question only fit for some academic philosopher-historians.

A true enthusiast in present times is the person who understands the history behind every action. He understands there are four vedas, 18 puranas,108 upanishads. He understand what is Sankhya Yoga in second chapter of Bhagavad Gita , what is vedanta?.But can he add anything to them? Can there be a fifth veda coming up? NO. We stopped that process by all ready asserting that all religions are the same and true at the same time. If every child tomorrow who is born grows up with the knowledge that Vedas are incomplete ,Upanishads are half done then can there be not a single person who will do something towards it.

The point of pride for religions is not in past but how it's present generation is taking it. We can thump our chests seeing Charka's medicine,Bhaskara's Mathematics,Arybhatta's astronomy but did they provide the complete picture? If one is really proud of them then why not take it forward?

Atheism is the answer some say, but atheism has no independence. It is born by the negation of theistic faiths. If there were not such rigid faiths then the philosophy of atheism doesn't come into picture. There is another interesting point it is that Atheism is often mixed with science to provide that romantic modern understanding. Atheism by denying GOD in the theistic sense or the ultimate reality in the philosophical sense doesn't recognize law and order. I hope atheism limits itself to the negation of GOD and not ultimate reality then they are even denying science.

Science assumes there is order and there is a law which ultimately governs everything. This goal is no different from religion. The finding of that law is the goal of science, in it's quest Science employ human senses as the only means of knowledge . Such science which is finally dependent on man's very much fallible senses can ever give us the truth. I hope I am wrong but this is the only area which mankind is at least seriously working.

To substantiate the similarity between religion and science I will give an example. Hinduism long ago,was the sole religion in India and every aspect of life was derived from it. How we eat, sleep, cook, sing, socialize everything was dependent on that Religion. It had its share of evils(caste system, women empowerment in society) too. This place is now occupied by Science. Everything we have around us is a product of Science. It has it evils too(complete destruction of diversity on the planet, pollution in every sphere of our life). Both of them aimed at providing the ultimate truth and at the same time as an off shoot they dictated how we live. Just because we have Internet and computers doesn't mean our ancestors were in any way backward. After all, the man and his mind didn't change much.

"aa no bhadraaha krathavo yantu vishwataha" (let
noble thoughts come to us from all directions)
-Rig Veda 1.891

PS: i through out placed extreme faith in human reason. It may be wrong sometimes but that is the best we have got.

Supreme court of India

The educated masses of India though seldom indulge themselves in the laborious process of voting are quite concerned about the functioning of democracy. Two institutions which garner wide respect, awe in this section of the people or elsewhere are the Election Commission of India , Supreme Court of India.
These have for time and again stood against the arbitrary rules of the government. Election Commission is able to curb the members when it comes to spending in election campaigns and I should say successfully brings about the details(property, criminals cases..) of each contestant. Though a Code of Conduct for the contestants is a long way to go still a hope persists that the Election Commission some day may pull it off. I even say that they should go to the extent of recommending the Government to review the process of declaration of a winner in an election , who has to get 50%+1 votes. There should be re election(removing some contestants in every round and to take affirmative action against candidates who don't get a respectable vote count) until it is acheived. This is an idea which has been long there but due to the danger it poses to the present incumbents in the 545 member assembly or the numerous state legislative assemblies has never been brought up. With the entry of electronic voting machines and the skill the commission shows in holding the largest free and fair elections on earth, it is no big deal form them.
The Supreme Court of India , from time of its inception, due to its sheer position as the interpreter of the constitution has been at loggerheads with the parliament more then once. Once such illustration is with our respected late Prime Minister of India , Ms Indira Gandhi. She was found guilty on the grounds of election malpractice in 1975 by Allahabad High Court. It was duly challenged in the Supreme Court by the person who is supposed to be representing the will of the people. The Judge allowed her to continue as Prime Minister of India but she could not speak or vote in the Parliament. A great day for democracy. Parliament did something which it was not supposed to do. It acted fast. 39th amendment to the Constitution was brought about The bill was passed in less then a day in Lok Sabha(look what happens to women's reservation bill) and the next day in Rajya Sabha. Since constitutional amendments required ratification by the state legislative assemblies too , all these assemblies assembled on a Saturday and gave their assent. The President was quick to sign it too. The amendment in its simple terms said any election disputes of President,Vice President and Prime Minister are to be dealt by Parliament and not any court. A committee will be formed and blah blah blah!!.. This had conflicts with some other laws and those laws were all pushed into 9th schedule , implying the SC cannot review them, they just have to use it. Now under the new circumstances SC had to declare her not guilty. The National Emergency soon came and everybody forgot about it. Banks where nationalized ,fundamental rights where withdrawn, whatever that is against the idea of 'Garibi Hatao' .42nd amendment did this and even preamble had to be modified suiting the wishes of garibis. Socialist was added to the definition of India. Amendments where made immune to judicial review and all limits of the Parliament to amend the constitution where removed. That is a victory for people's representatives.. Parliament was restored and no sooner Supreme Court was on its heels craving about the fundamental rights of people and how they cannot be modified. Parliament had to maintain , in a democracy Parliament is Supreme. SC made them remember it is the Constitution that is supreme. The famous cases Keshavananda Bharti , Minnevra Mills are the ones which led to all this trouble.
The Supreme Court stance on the reservation for OBC's was another issue. They asked simple questions regarding the demographics of OBC's and the Government was running for cover. They kept the faith of many students in this country and certainly saved some lives of young doctors. The students celebrated their was some hope in this country.
Nobody expected a Union Cabinet Minister to be convicted. They where above such laws is the general belief . Miracles happen and he is now where he was supposed to be long ago. Some high profile murderers got convicted. This is all too good to be true. The judgment on the 9th schedule is what is certainly the biggest proof ,that ours is a functioning democracy.
The 9th schedule hitherto introduced by Nehru to equally distribute wealth or land , taking it aways from the zamindars. This was against the fundamental right to property(now due to various amendments is just a legal right) so introduced this new schedule and made it immune to judicial review. So did the people get the lands..ha that is another question. Parliament makes laws but administration didn't seem to have implement it. So even now,Naxalites thrive on this very issue..well whatever. The 9th schedule then was used for a variety of purposes reservations going to insane limits of 69% in TamilNadu. Land acquisition rules as and how they please in West Bengal.
The supreme court ordered a family planning for this schedule burdened with 284 laws. It means they are going to dissect each and every law. They would then decide whether it is against the basic structure of the constitution(federal structure, parliamentary democracy and too an extent fundamental rights ). All the cases from 1974 would now be revisited and now it may spill some gross miscalculations, crass discretions and questionable conclusions.

Conclusion.
I would like to see even the Election Commission uses its power a little more in the upcoming elections(state assembly elections of Manipur ,Uttaranchal,Punjab, UP,Assam,Kerala,WB,Tamil Nadu). Many innocent people die during that time and if the commission permanently spoils the career of even some of the candidates will be a welcome move to the democracy of India .A great courage is required to reform the present unscientific process of elections. Once this is done ,certainly a day will come when the parliament passes laws and people would support it rather then Supreme Court. An accountability to both these institutions,Election Commission and Supreme Court has to be brought out some day such that the power will lay where it has to be. In the hands of, We the people of India.

The Final Problem

The concluding part of the three part series, the first two being Ravana in Courts and Rama in Courts ..

Peace at all costs , is the solution to any problem . Go to any extent to make the common man live in peace. He is not concerned about morals, reason , intellect or the most advanced scientific research. He is interested in food , cricket and movies . Any dis rupture in this cycle of life is against the democratic vision of the founding fathers. Peace in every situation . Peace everywhere .. if not Peace what else..talk with terrorists .. hand over money to them if they hijack aeroplanes.. never pursue them .. congratualte them if they successfully bomb some temples .. let them expand do not use weapons against anybody anywhere in any situation.. esp if the terrorists belong to the minority . This country is for everybody .It has been since like this from time immemorial. Anybody can come and do anything to this country and still we take pride for this very exact reason. Let the borders be burnt. Peace is what is needed. If some nation tomorrow claims the owner ship of some state militarily ..let them do it.. they probably are better rulers, this is the line of reasoning.

Every cleansing work has to start from within. This society can't even get rid of the extreme criminals, instead it sympathizes with them ..and worse takes pride in such factors.. The very parliament which was attacked ,now talks of being merciful to the person who has attacked it.. I wonder what the situation if the heroes who died fighting these terrorists ,instead preferred to save their lives and let the parliament be attacked.. Certainly the seven families would have been happier. Even if the terrorists had been successful that day , they still would not have been successful because since when did our Parliament started being functional anyway??

The efforts and pains which some news channels take to become popular is disgusting to watch and we are a nation soon becoming one whom for which every pro gramme on TV is entertainment. The media is never accountable and they do as and how they please, with no distinction between opinion , news and entertainment. The newspaper industry has become so predicable that given an issue everybody knows how each newspaper will respond. The hindu can never find any positive out of the nuclear deal between India and USA , while Chinese habits are better to be emulated. The useless visit of the chinese premier who claims arunchal pradesh belongs to them is shown only in positive light while the defence deal with israel is somehow only wrong. The times of india is more concerned with the page 3 parties all over mumbai and delhi. The magazines are concerned with advertisements and the tv channels have their own agenda. Sun Tv cannot see any positive in Jayalalitha and Jaya TV cannot see any good in Karunanidhi. Star news is concerned with some mindless peoples rants and everything is so interesting for them ,they just can't sit. Devil's advocate is concerned with asking stupid ,inconsequential questions with more emotion then reason. The debates deal more about sentiments and opinions rather then intellect and reason .Not a single issue is resolved and the intellectuals are the one who can't take a stand. Film stars are the ones who are asked for opinions on Babri Masjid, Kashmir issue or the Bangladesh problem. History of the problem is never given ,nor ever spoken and solutions are to be found for every problem forgetting the history. Correct solutions are never to be found and the only correct solution is the one which is peaceful.

We live in a society which will kill Rama and praise Ravana. Ravana is indeed sympathized forgetting all his heinous acts but only for the manner in which he is killed. Rama is held guilty forgetting all the good work he has done but only for the manner in which he killed Ravana. Karna is loved while Arjuna is hated. Duryodhana is the darling and Krishna is the villain. The people who left the country for their personal reasons are loved while the ones who stayed back never get the recognitions. The pride is in working for some other country's benefit but not for the ones who die saving our country.

Rama in courts..

This is the second of the series , the first being Ravana in Courts .. continuing with the story ..

Rama couldn't take it anymore. He had to do something being the husband of the most dedicated wife a man can ever think off and to make matters worse there are hundreds of crores of people who look upto him as the role model as the perfect man. He had to act. Ravana cannot escape like this. Hanumam who has been his closest aide in every event in his life and was called for. They both are responsible to the whole country and are the ultimate powerful men on earth and yet now they lie as mere spectators to the whole drama of Ravana in courts. Damn!! that tiny piece of Lanka.

Ravana, after being free started to become a good Samaritan for his people ,taking up his people's demands and even went to the extent of stating publicly their 10% population should have the first claim in all the benefits of being a citizen of Bharatha Varsha. People have now started worshiping him.

Rama has his personal reasons and the majority to take care. He can't let it pass ,lest all the people start worshiping asuras. Hanuman and he decided what has to be done. They should first kill Ravana and then start the peace process with Asuras. The majority are still with him and he need not fear.

Ravana was found dead the next day in his palace. He fought violently , the scars on his body prove it but in the need he was nothing in front of Rama's skill and he met his end. A mighty warrior like Ravana may have conquered the upper and nether worlds but Rama would most certainly could have done better then him but he was not after acquiring the worlds but was after the welfare of the people. So many people mistook this peaceful approach of him being a pacifist and infact people even doubted whether can Rama is a match to Ravana's skill and valor. Rama proved it otherwise.

The Judiciary was to fast to act ,this time and the most powerful person on earth was brought to courts. The asuras have been protesting violently for Rama's beheading for his act. The majority where with Rama but most of them did not approve the killing of Ravana. “Violence against any human is a crime” said one fat chicken-eating person. “ Justice should be equal to all” said another. Rama may have acted for the benefit of us but still he can't kill. Nobody has the right to kill.

Rama was sent to prison and his trial started. He wondered if nobody has the right to kill , then do the criminals only have this exclusive right. Is this some privilege we provide to the criminals? They kill as many as they want and after a life long judicial process they are to spend their lives happily in jails and prisons living on the taxes paid by the hard working and law abiding citizens. Many activists point to some 'industrially' developed nations who have abandoned such capital punishment laws ,but they don't know about the prisons these countries maintain in some secluded islands in the other parts of the world. They have all the money that they get out of selling arms to developing and under developed nations to maintain such cozy prisons, implying they kill some person somewhere to make a living.. that is what their grand fathers have done and they do it even now.

The Judiciary found himguilty. The judge declared “this is a cold blooded ,premeditated murder and hence deserves highest punishment”.Rama and his accomplice Hanuman both got capital punishment. The asuras welcomed the decision.Ravana may have killed many people but he is not a role model for the people ,while Rama though has killed only Ravana is one of the people whom people look upto in times of danger. He has misused his power and killed Ravana while Ravana with no power and responsibility in his hands may have killed thousands of people ,for which no proof is there but his nature is not something different of what is expected from an Asura. Rama being a human cannot in any circumstance commit such terrible and henious crime and though techincally Hanuman doesn't count as a human, still is one of the master minds behind the murder of Ravana.

The leaders of Asuras planned to celebrate Diwali on the day of execution of Rama. Everybody were showering praises on how judiciary can be still relied upon for justice. The activists against capital punishment were silent because any sort of protest to save Rama may hurt the sentiments of the minority asuras.Such protests may set the nation on fire. When the due judicial process has been followed ,Rama probably is a threat to the country.

There were no appeals to save the life of Rama and the valiant leader was sent to the gallows and Bharatha Varsha started celebrating how the democracy is at work.

Ravana in Courts.

First of a three part series..

The case is quite popular and has received media attention from the start. Fifteen long years have passed . It is so well known that even the villagers who have never known what a television is have an opinion in this case. Today is the judgment day for the prime accused,Ravana.

The serious nature of the allegations against the accused ,if found guilty will lead to capital punishment. Is he guilty or not is the question.

The clock struck 9 and the judge was ready to deliver the judgment. " The accused ,Ravana has been found guilty under section 364 ,for kidnapping Sita;section 509 for harassing her and is found guilty of molesting and raping countless women in his Lanka. Seeing the nature of the crime, this is classified as a the rarest of the rare cases and he is to be hanged " the judge continued "Since he has been born with 10 heads , he is to be hanged 10 times until death."

The vigilant news media,at once beamed the judgment ant the millions of people came to know about it in no time. There was joy every where. At last, Dharma prevailed and the guilty has been rightly led to the gallows. There were to be special discussion and debates in all the primary news channels about the nature of the judgment and how could this affect future crime scenario.

People were not so interested in a settled case so the channels wanted something interesting and one of them started a program should Ravana be hanged at all ? The luminaries in the discussion were a representative from The Human Rights Commission(HRC) , a founder of an NGO which is against capital punishment and a retired army officer who fought in the Indo-China war.

The anchor started right away. " The land mark judgment has been delivered and every body is happy but there are many questions that are been left unanswered. Are we a civilized nation after awarding capital punishment? Should we kill somebody at present for his mindless action in the past? Ravana being a asura who are a minority in Bharatha Varsha won't it hurt the sentiments of the minority especially when Shiva Rathri is coming which is fifteen day pompous celebration for them? To answer such difficult question we have invited the experts and we would be very happy even if one of the questions will be answered."

The representative from HRC picked up from there. "Ravana though has committed many crimes which are not proven for which i cannot give a judgment being an impartial observer would like to talk only about the case relating to Sita. One thing is clear, he never raped her.. He kidnapped her but it was under Sita's will Sita very well knew danger is wrought on her if she crosses the Lakshman rekha but still she has done it which implies she actually went with Ravana according to her will. Sita we have to note is not a modern woman, she doesn't have a goal in her life and many times she has publicly stated she doesn't need freedom or respect and serving Rama is all that she wants to do in her life. This sort of behavior doesn't go well in our society and no wonder most of the women are against her. Ravana is a man and it is natural for a man to get attracted to other women. A woman like Sita never needed the protection of State and she has always put her husband above state and society, which shows her indifference to the human society. “

“The countless women he has been charged with rape, we have to note have never said publicly any thing against Ravana. We just went along with the word of Hanuman who supposedly visited his palace in search of Sita,Why he did not bring her then and there speaks volumes whether he really visited her. In spite of all this , Ravana emotionally and physically tortured Sita for 14 years for which he deserves punishment but not capital punishment.”

The retired army officer continued. “I have seen enough blood shed in the wars i participated and one thing i can confirm is taking aways somebody's life doesn't change anything. Life is precious ,even if it is our enemy's. I have always been against capital punishment and i even submitted a memorandum to the government to look into the capital punishment. Many developed nations scrapped that law but some how we still linger on to the colonial days of judgment where every freedom fighter was hanged to death.”

The famous NGO founder thundered. “Today judiciary may have won,but humanity has been defeated. There is no shred of doubt that Ravana tortured Sita but the judiciary should look for the common good when delivering justice. What justice is this which will only hurt the 'sentiments' of the people. He is the sole leader of their group and such excessive punishing statement doesn't agur well for the nation especially during their festival time. The Nation will be set on fire.”

In the mean time the results for the question of the day “Should Ravana be hanged?” came. 87% of the people said yes. The results seems to be slightly skewed in favor of Rama and against Ravana but that should not be taken as the voice of the people since we know more then 60% of the people who watch television don't respond to such question and such people for whom this doesn't interest we can safely say that they support Ravana, if not why won't they respond? So doing some petty calculations we can say that 35% of the people say Ravana has to be hanged while the rest 65% say no he shouldn't be. The viewers also support Ravana.

The army officer responded. “Yes, that is the expected reaction from the common people. A common Indian is more concerned with food and tomorrow ,then such petty trials .A common man is a humanitarian. The feeling of humanity runs through all of us which is natural. Here we also have to consider the work Ravana has done for his people. The ones that lived under the ground , he brought them and put them in a golden city. He devised rules and regulations for a peaceful society among his tribe. He has brought universal respect for his people. The demise of such a leader will only lead to civil war in this country which has never been fair to the minorities.”

The debate stopped for that day and the next day some of the political party leaders went to consolidate Ravana and they too echoed the same opinions of yesterday's debate. They filed a mercy petition with the president and were eagerly awaiting the president's signature on that.

“What's the point in hanging him? I see it clearly now” said on of the auto drivers who have all seen yesterday's debate.
“Sita is back with her husband. The other women are happy in Ravana's palace .Why should we now try to kill poor Ravana for his past actions? I hope the president pardons him.”

All the political parties where up against the judgment and were one with the government in this matter. Soon enough ,Ravana was pardoned and he was awarded five years rigorous punishment. Since Ravana spent fifteen years already in jail, he was declared to have served his sentence and for every one year excess he has spent he received a compensation package of one crore rupees. In all he was set free and was loaded with ten crore rupees for the humiliation he had to suffer for 10 extra long years.

Seeing this,Sita could not bear “ But he has made me suffer for years who is going to compensate
me for that? Does giving money nullify the crime? He has killed thousands of people in building the golden city now showing that Lanka as a marvel of development they have set him free. Oh!! my Lord i am burning ”,saying this she fell on the feet of Rama for justice.

Rama decided his next course of action.

To be continued...

Life or Dream?

Can i differentiate between dream and my waking state?.This  thought came to me because of a very powerful and disturbing dream. I would first relate the dream and then proceed to my thoughts about dreams in general and then come to the question raised in the title.
I watched dd bharti's nite program on KedarNath. The host, a man in middle thirties dressed in kadhi. The attractive part in him was his interest and the respect he held for what he is doing unlike the other private channel tourist pro grammes with vulgar, ignorant, externally beautiful hosts who are shoddily dressed more for a party rather then a spiritual journey. He talked about a particular temple in Kedarnath where sweet water is generated. It is supposed to be the favourite place of Lord Shiva and his ardhangani, Parvathi. He drank the sweet water which was looking quite pure, more transparent then the man made bottled water. He then proceeded on to say about a small miracle that happens there..whenever one says "Hara Hara MahaDev",bubbles are generated in the water. He said and bubbles indeed came. My ever skeptical mind caught it.Is it only when we say "Hara Hara Mahadev" or can i say anything. Is it just the superstition of mindless religious masses. What if i say "Jai Shri Krishna" or "I Love you" will the bubbles come.I then proceeded to sleep and my dream took off from where my real life left.
I was at the place and drank the water it tasted quite sweet.I said "Hara Hara Mahadev". Nothing happened. Questions flooded into my mind " Iam a sinner is it not ? otherwise why doesn't it happen for me? Am i big sinner then that anchor? Iam supposed to be a very religious and a spiritual person and nothing happens ,then am i not?". I tried it again, aloud and the bubbles came. A big smile on my face. I am too happy. I now tested the frequency as to what can be the possible limit for this bubble generation. I recited the mantra as fast as i can and the small depression of water no large then 1 meter in diameter was filled with bubbles soon. I now proceeded to test the latency reciting the small mantra as slowly as possible. The bubbles didn't come. I was very excited so i didn't care about it. Then i sat very close to the place and drowned my hands completely with my palms resting on the base of the water.I wanted to directly feel the bubbles from the time they are generated.I forgot everything in the world at that moment for i found first time in life something in nature responds to my call and if i want to believe ,it is GOD.
Suddenly,Sakthi emerged from this small lake and came towards me furiously.I ran from that place in fear. I ran and i ran but she never stopped following me.She was now escorted with her followers all dressed in white but holding long swords and killing everything that has life in their path. I was perspiring like anything and running towards a snowy mountain.I was running opposite the path of a stream that was flowing downwards.I was looking back and running forward and i tripped down.I looked forward and saw an old couple. The man was sitting on a stone and he spread his legs across the stream.I fell down because he put his legs purposefully in my path.Everything in me stopped for a moment. He then helped me to sit and he was dressing my wound. The woman beside him showed me the crowd that was following me.Somehow they were moving and at the same time not moving. They were always coming towards me but never came near me.The mob now started killing many plants and animals around. There swords and Sakthi's Thrishul were all dripped in blood. The old man beside me pointed out "Is this what you want? Is this what you are praying for?" I replied in the negative.Iam not a fool to ask for such dangers. The old woman who till now was silent and noticing her calmness i already made it up in my mind that the old man is lower in the spiritual plane and at the best he is a follower of this great yogi. While my mind was being filled with such conclusions ,she at once shouted at me "Pour water on his feet , and test yourself. If his big toe becomes blue you are indeed a spiritual person else you are not.". I took a handful of water and with utmost devotion poured them on his feet.Nothing happened ,more so his feet didn't even become wet.I poured some more and more and slowly i noticed the toe color changing from brown to dark blue. I was so excited. At that moment some one stabbed me in the back , i was filled with blood and fell down.
I woke up immediately and it was early morning but at least happy that it was not real and just a dream. Dream, but it was so real. I tasted the sweet water, i perspired and even felt the pain of a wound in a chilling cold weather. All these experiences are so real and yet untrue. Then came the question why do i take my so called waking state as real and the dream state unreal ,what if i reverse the assumption. Every time i wake up ,means i am indeed dreaming and the time i sleep is my real life. There was no snowy mountain near to me yet my mind created it for me in my dreams so also in my waking state the mind creates everything for me. All the people i talk to , hear to are all created by my mind. What can be wrong in this?. I felt various emotions in my dream(real life) so do I in the waking state (dream life,my assumption). Both the situations i experienced it and yet i say one is true and the other untrue, how did i ever come to this conclusion?
The dream i got started of because of the lasting impression the tv program had on me.After wards watever happened most of it are my subconscious questions or doubts manifested in action and experience. Some of them may be past memories, like the form i have for Sakthi or the narrow stream, but the people i faced and their words created again some impressions in mind which iam now carrying to this waking state. It is only that the dream is so powerful i remembered it else i would have had any idea about it. Every one of us fear. We fear about something and why we fear is sometimes unexplainable, the phobias people generate are not known.Don't dreams play a part in such unexplainable impressions on our minds?

I say that dreams effect real life as much as real life effect the dreams. But,the effects of dreams are not easily perceived and not latent like in day to day life but they are there. There is one difference i feel which exists is that whenever i wake up i again wake up where the state of the world doesn't change much.I am in the same room luckily, the familiar surroundings but i cannot say for sure for the case in dreams , but yet i can't prove one dream is distinctly different from the other and that every dream is a new experience. The memory somehow fails me here.

If both effect each other viz the dream life on real life and vice versa ,then comes the boundary condition Who effected whom first? When i was first conscious of my memory was it filled with experiences from dream or real life.. a classic egg, chicken problem and i know that is unsolvable and hence i have to take only one conclusion there is no difference between real life and dream life, based on the assumption that each effect the same in the same manner one is more distinct and the other hidden.

I now come to the question of what about it in the dreamless state? what happens to my mind ? why has it stopped creating anything for me ? but still i exist right, then I am different from my mind is it not? but if iam different from my mind who am i? Sakthi in my dream probably wanted me to cut off all such frivolous enjoyments ,she followed me everywhere killing everything in her vicinity ,yet she didn't kill me(this is a feeble attempt by my mind to explain the strange situation and make me stable) .. that means she cannot kill me.if she cannot why am i fearing her? It is my ignorance that drove me to identify with my body which off course any body can kill but if iam my body then i shouldn't be living once i experience dreamless state where there is no "my body" . Once something is destroyed cannot be remade. So i still exist independent of my body .. hmm this is confusing and i leave it here and conclude.

If dream life and real life are inseparable and dying in one doesn't cause death then obviously dying in the other too doesn't cause death and hence one is immortal and that immortal entity of  me (leaving the changing body ,or the reactionary emotions or the memories) is the atman and atman has to exist.Once that is accepted, Brahman or the Absolute one exists which cannot be anything but the atman  has to be accepted.Since there cannot exist two eternal, unchanging, infinite entities simulatneously .Hence TatVam Asi, Iam that.

Let's make a movie..

A grand party organized in memory of somebody who is not so important as is the cause. The who and who of the movie world were there.Walking along the black carpet with red clothes, india's most beautiful people were all present.
The music was deafening and the lighting was blinding and everybody drunk..one such drunk conversation..A young movie director in serious conversation with one of the king's of the industry.. "Sirrr, i would like to worrrk with you."
"Hmm that is a good idea ,let's make one ..it has been a long time i gave break to a director."
"Thank you sir, iam blessed . I would like to know the dates you are free, so that i can plan .you know sir now a days movie making needs optimal planning and execution, like the five year plans of india".
"I don't know about the five year plans, but iam free the whole of next month."
"Oh!! beautiful people bless me,i am indebted to you sir"

Next day the director wakes up lazily from his bed and recollects his activities yesterday. He remembers the conversation with king. He at once jumps up from his bed and takes the phone. The calls start.
"Hey, Rahul, you have been the dress designer for my previous flop movies ..but i have a lot of faith in you coz u have become ten times richer in the past 2 years.I making this movie with king ,it would be great .. what you say?"
"Ohh!! yes count me in ..working with king is like working with king, iam too happy to accept. As you know the dresses are not for the stars and as the shooting of the movie finishes the dresses would be taken back and i can't tolerate stars pressurizing me in such matters. It is a matter of work ethics you know."
"No problem yaar, i will take care of that.. u start your work"
"Ok byee"
"byee"

the next call.
"Hello is it his divine ,the music director of the masses?"
"yeah, who are you?"
"I am this young director and i signed up with king, i would like you to join in our team."
"This is a great opportunity.Only yesterday i created some wonderful tunes but very similar in tone and raga to Zimbabwean tribal music.I guess with this i would become the most original music director. Please count me in and is it the usual two rock and roll, two romantic , one sad and one sentimental song sequence."
"no!! cut the sad and sentimental and put rock and roll and romantic in their place. This is going to be a different film.Afterall, it is for king and you know people are crazy about king in such roles."
"Ok i got it. I would start my work and my pay as u know is half of what king asks."
"yes, off course , everything is usual as iam producing the movie tooo.Sir in industry no body talks about pay on phones."
"Iam sorry.I was just too excited i guess, thank you sir for giving this wonderful opportunity"
"byee..thank you too"
"welcome sir"

the next call.
"Rohit, travel agent..is it"
" ha yes"
"Iam this young director .. we are planning to make a movie ,50% of it will be in singapore and the rest in Kirghistan"
"Why kirghistan sir?"
"No special reason.I guess that area has not been covered by bollywood and we will do the best of it.See that we tie up the country's tourism department and there is king who will promote their country in the world for them."
"Sir.I guess there are not many beautiful locations out there."
"No problem we will shoot some in india and we will say it is in kirghistan. We want good publicity and making movie in indian outdoor locations is considered bad for the movies"
"yes sir ,the people come and pose in the back ground while shooting is going in the foreground."
"Not only that we have to cross the 15crore barrier in movie making right."
"ha yes sir ,otherwise everybody will start saying ours is a cheap movie and that is bad publicity"
"yes exactly. I want it for the next month.First half of the next month in singapore and the next half in kirghistan."
"Consider it done sir!! who is the heroine by the way? you know sir iam fond of beautiful women."
"I have to decide that and i will let you know in few hours."
"theek hey sir !! mein dekhloonga."

the next call is to the public relations agent(PR agent)
"Sir iam this young director and i need good publicity for my movie"
"Oh!! no problem sir. We will create many contests and give some exclusive images to music channels which they will be exlusively beaming exclusively for our audience. We would create new hair style for the hero and make people follow it and the dresses of heroines are a little problem sir but we would try."
"that is good to hear. You are already on the job.We have king in the lead role"
"yes sir, we will create an sms contest and dinner with heroine contest. I hope their is some controversy generated between king and the heroine. It would be great for the movie publicity."
"We will see it too it."
"The job is done sir,Thank you"
"thank you ..byee"

The heroine too is signed up on phone. The rest of supporting characters are taken as most of them are free.Everybody plans to meet on the next month at the airport. They all land up in singapore. The first two days were spent in sight-seeing as is king's wish.

They decide a location to shoot in some lane in singapore.

Camera on, everybody dressed up .. then king asks "what role am i playing?"

The yound director forgot about the story and dialogues completely. He was so busy with travel agents, music directors and designer he gave the onus of story on assistant director. He too forgot about it.They both go to some secluded place leaving the rest of the crew and discuss.
"On what do we make a movie on?"
"I guess it is difficult to create a new story now sir, time is so less and we even forgot to hire a dialogue writer."
"Hmmm!! let's make a remake then.No need of new dialogues we will use the old ones and king will take care of the rest. The story is also safe because people already accepted it."
"Sir,but new survey's show that people are tired of remakes."
"Is it?? then.. then.. let's make a remake of a remake"
"that is a good idea sir.You are very intelligent and iam blessed to work under you."
"what remake shall we remake?"
"sir I guess it should be rocky sir. Rocky ,the english version has been remade five times and the sixth is coming out. We will compete with the sixth version and make it a bollywood vs hollywood."
"This will be very good for publicity."
"Let's watch the previous five then sir."
"I think if we see it once ,the rest all are same."
"Exactly sir, that is why people are going to love it."
"hmm..let's call some pakistani hero then..this we can publicise as arts have no boundaries."
"too good sir,I already see our movie becoming a big hit in both the countries."
"Let's call off today's shooting and let everybody watch rocky and ha we will call a press conference to anounce the movie and we will ask king to talk about his new avtaar as rocky ,in which he is going to be topless most of the time. I think girls would love it."
"Our movie is a super duper hit sir."
"Let's make a movie then.."
