Rama in courts..
This is the second of the series , the first being Ravana in Courts .. continuing with the story ..
Rama couldn't take it anymore. He had to do something being the husband of the most dedicated wife a man can ever think off and to make matters worse there are hundreds of crores of people who look upto him as the role model as the perfect man. He had to act. Ravana cannot escape like this. Hanumam who has been his closest aide in every event in his life and was called for. They both are responsible to the whole country and are the ultimate powerful men on earth and yet now they lie as mere spectators to the whole drama of Ravana in courts. Damn!! that tiny piece of Lanka.
Ravana, after being free started to become a good Samaritan for his people ,taking up his people's demands and even went to the extent of stating publicly their 10% population should have the first claim in all the benefits of being a citizen of Bharatha Varsha. People have now started worshiping him.
Rama has his personal reasons and the majority to take care. He can't let it pass ,lest all the people start worshiping asuras. Hanuman and he decided what has to be done. They should first kill Ravana and then start the peace process with Asuras. The majority are still with him and he need not fear.
Ravana was found dead the next day in his palace. He fought violently , the scars on his body prove it but in the need he was nothing in front of Rama's skill and he met his end. A mighty warrior like Ravana may have conquered the upper and nether worlds but Rama would most certainly could have done better then him but he was not after acquiring the worlds but was after the welfare of the people. So many people mistook this peaceful approach of him being a pacifist and infact people even doubted whether can Rama is a match to Ravana's skill and valor. Rama proved it otherwise.
The Judiciary was to fast to act ,this time and the most powerful person on earth was brought to courts. The asuras have been protesting violently for Rama's beheading for his act. The majority where with Rama but most of them did not approve the killing of Ravana. “Violence against any human is a crime” said one fat chicken-eating person. “ Justice should be equal to all” said another. Rama may have acted for the benefit of us but still he can't kill. Nobody has the right to kill.
Rama was sent to prison and his trial started. He wondered if nobody has the right to kill , then do the criminals only have this exclusive right. Is this some privilege we provide to the criminals? They kill as many as they want and after a life long judicial process they are to spend their lives happily in jails and prisons living on the taxes paid by the hard working and law abiding citizens. Many activists point to some 'industrially' developed nations who have abandoned such capital punishment laws ,but they don't know about the prisons these countries maintain in some secluded islands in the other parts of the world. They have all the money that they get out of selling arms to developing and under developed nations to maintain such cozy prisons, implying they kill some person somewhere to make a living.. that is what their grand fathers have done and they do it even now.
The Judiciary found himguilty. The judge declared “this is a cold blooded ,premeditated murder and hence deserves highest punishment”.Rama and his accomplice Hanuman both got capital punishment. The asuras welcomed the decision.Ravana may have killed many people but he is not a role model for the people ,while Rama though has killed only Ravana is one of the people whom people look upto in times of danger. He has misused his power and killed Ravana while Ravana with no power and responsibility in his hands may have killed thousands of people ,for which no proof is there but his nature is not something different of what is expected from an Asura. Rama being a human cannot in any circumstance commit such terrible and henious crime and though techincally Hanuman doesn't count as a human, still is one of the master minds behind the murder of Ravana.
The leaders of Asuras planned to celebrate Diwali on the day of execution of Rama. Everybody were showering praises on how judiciary can be still relied upon for justice. The activists against capital punishment were silent because any sort of protest to save Rama may hurt the sentiments of the minority asuras.Such protests may set the nation on fire. When the due judicial process has been followed ,Rama probably is a threat to the country.
There were no appeals to save the life of Rama and the valiant leader was sent to the gallows and Bharatha Varsha started celebrating how the democracy is at work.
