on Mind.
I think i think I am spiritually oriented and the manifestation is in my ardent interest in trying to learn the secrets of life or unlearn the intricaces of life.,trying to improve life or just living the life.Watever i want to talk about mind.
As it goes the universal gurus who some how are related only to hinduism yet freverently welcome universality and in this welcoming of everything they guide their millions of followers about the dangers the mind poses ,quoting exclusively from any source .Bhagavad Geeta says the mind is turbulent and wavering. It is the rein of the five horses(five senses) which is in turn handeld by intelligence and the chariot being the body we are endowed with whilst the passenger is the soul towards .. hmm towards!! towards !! I can't understand beyond my understanding.
I couldn't find any disagreement with what bhagavad geeta says because it never took a stance ,never said this is the only way or the deifinition of reality was never limited to one way of understanding(advaita, dvaita, charvakins). It is a grand summary of what hinduism has to offer. The entry into the world about the world.
The point here is the guru who comfortably leaves the last part of what geeta(there are many other sources in sanatana dharma ,iam familiar with geeta) says mind being the rein or intellect being the charioteer. The emphasis is laid on the turbulent mind.
The attack on it begins with mind being very analytic in nature .It disintegrates everything to finer pieces and the beauty of the object is lost.So the best way to look is through heart ,through the loving heart!! In order to get the whole picture what we need is synthesis, the inner vision and that can be activated only when this mind is not allowed to trespass.First of all i can't udnerstand how mind is analytic . We see some stars in the night sky do we separate each star and try to analyse what they are made of or do we need some inner vision to understand that it is not the case . The mind seeing so many dots never tries to separate but tries to integrate ,if not how could ape men gaze at them for such a long time ?
My basic point is this when something is very simple mind tries to find patterns or it tries to synthesize. This means once we have some basic understanding indvidually (eg: series of random numbers, in this case we know what each number means or what it stands for) the next job of the mind is to synthesise. The mind tries to give the whole picture . Coming to the complex things , let's say a computer .Then surely we analyse tear apart everything to find out .This even happens in our lives when we never understand what we have to do and the best solution we can think is to think. This some of the universal gurus some how find fault with ,they have easy solutions like chanting mantras or attending crash courses .. any damn thing in the world but not a compact solution ,by the usage of compact i mean a general training to the mind by which if we comprehend the same problem again the mind never gets troubled.
The solutions they have to offer never really solve the problem but just postpone it for a later date.Chanting of mantras is useful no doubt but it can never be the anwser to our problems , mantras may make our body respond, our mind respond but that can never be a solution to any of our problem ..If there is a problem within the solution has to be within and mind is the key.
I have listened to many discourses on how mind is the enemy ,though a lame adding like mind is also the best friend is added it would never really meant to be taken seriously.Mind is difficult to control but that doesn't mean we should stop using it and come with pure heart to understand the phliosophy of life they show. Every one of us reads karma yoga but how many of us can really understand it and once it is understood it would be put in practice ,no need to tame the seeker to just put it in practice. If we are not following something and we still say it is great ,then there is some problem in our competence or in us. If realisation is the goal leave everything in the world and work for it else accept the mundane achievements financial well being or fame or love of a woman as the goal.Live life like any other piece of organic matter and soon disintegrate.
The final conclusion is you are stupid you can't understand what a human being previously understood. U can never be a Krishna or a Rama or a Buddha or a Jesus or a Mohammad(Universality at stake, unbielevably they all said the same thing and we don't understand it ,hence the need for gurus) ,so now don't try to use your mind since u can't , just chant the name or be compassionate , help other people , do your duties or have utmost FAITH. The path is long and surely the universal guru will lead u to .. to ? to ?
